men who refuse to play as a woman in a video game are weak and pathetic
So let me tell you all of my Dark Souls 2 Experience:
When I first booted up the game, I went right in and didn’t customize a damn thing, played the default guy and went to the tutorial area and found the casket-boat. Going into it and not realizing what it actually did, I just left it and went on my merry way.
Seven hours and fifty levels later and shrugging the shrill death cries of my character, figuring ‘eh, maybe just a bug’ I find out that the casket changes my gender.
Finding this discrepancy odd, but entertaining (but not what I wanted, this was the third incarnation of my souls character after all), I go back to the casket.
Only to find that the character, upon reverting back to their original state, started to play worse. Well, not worse (though my playing was below average), but bad things kept happening. Absurdly high invasion rate, buttons seemingly not working, enemies following me across the goddess be damned continent.
Abruptly I remembered something my dad told me during one of my earliest gaming conventions; ‘Luck favors women and children.’
So, following this line of logic (insane though it may have been at the time) I dedicated my character to Caffery, the games goddess of fortune, and stepped back into the casket boat for the final time.
And that’s how I got a smoking hot warrior woman who is the doublequeen of Drangleic for a player character.
